The Partisan Put

I was thinking today about some dreadful scenarios for our world. Why? Well, maybe the right question should be, why not? The US economy is collapsing. Their political class is corrupted and the majority of the americans don’t give a fuck about it, their only concern now is not to lose their jobs and to pay back their mortgage. China is preparing to kill the dollar, offloading some 1.3 trillion dollars worth of US debt. Russians, and the Arabs have already done the same. I personally believe that war is an option in the minds of those suckers in Washington. Precisely, a global conflict following an invasion of Iran. Science fiction? I don’t think so.

Anyway, I was thinking, what can we do other than nothing. I mean, if there is to be a global conflict, what is my role? We, the common people. Nothing? Zero? Are we really like that? What can we do other than remaining independent and free thinkers. So I came up with the idea of a website, called the Partisan Put. Partisans are members of the unofficial military forces who played a major role in the liberation of my country (Italy) 60 years ago. A Put is a financial contracts which protects you from market crashes. So the web site should gather a collection of people interested at least in talking about future actions in case the whole thing is going to be fucked up.

To my astonishment, when I came back home today I read this post, which I recommend, and I found out about THE OUTQUISITION (Outquisition post on WorldChanging)

Not quite exactly the same idea but veeery similar. I like it. I think it’s about time people start to talk about this kind of scenarios seriously. Not only when we watch movies like “the Matrix”.

For those interested in the Partisan Put website, leave a comment and I’ll get in touch.
